I have always wanted to go to college, and I tried for a little while the year following high school. I decided it was time for a break and I joined the Army. After I spent four years in the Army I decided it was time for me to move on, and go back to school. I didn't want to be in a job that wasn't going to take me very far. I took one class my first year out of the Army and later on that year, I moved to Germany with my husband. My choice for schools was very limited. I started taking college classes while in Germany the next couple of years. When we moved back to the states, I decided to change my degree plan from Ultrasonography to Healthcare Management and found a degree program concentration at AIU Online.

I have had to deal with the challenges of being a stay-at-home mom, trying to do my schoolwork, as well as running the household by myself while my husband was deployed. I think the most challenging aspect of online classes is time management and this has never been one of my strong suits.

I think AIU Online offers great degree programs for anyone. They offer accelerated programs that allow you to complete your degree fast. Although it is challenging, who doesn't want to spend less time in school? This allows you to get out into the workforce sooner to gain experience. AIU Online also has a great support system. They are always ready to answer questions you may have and do what they can to make your experience a positive one.

Over the past few months, I have been working with the AIU Online's Career Services Department to assist me with creating my resume and sourcing employment opportunities. My career services advisor has been great about sending me links to employment opportunities in my area. I have applied for many, and after many months of not having interviews, or even calls from prospective employers, I finally got a break. I am now working full time for a local hospital, doing exactly what I need to do to gain experience in Healthcare Management. Just one more example of the support you receive when you are an AIU Online student.

I would recommend AIU Online to anyone considering an online education. I have attended two different online schools and feel that that AIU Online has one of the best programs. The timeliness in which you can get a degree made it a better program for me. I would have spent years in college to finish my degree if I hadn't been in AIU Online's degree program. I didn't want to waste any more time waiting to get out into the real world! Thank you AIU Online!!!!
