Financial Aid
AIU FAFSA School Code: 014720

AIU Online goes to great lengths to ensure that every student has a financial aid package to suit their needs. Each student is provided with a dedicated Financial Aid Advisor who will personally walk them through every step of the financial aid process.
Eligibility for Federal financial aid is based on a number of factors, but regardless of your current income level or financial need, you may still qualify for student financial aid programs that can help offset the cost of your education. We have created a Financial Aid Estimator* to help you gain a better understanding of how you can fund your education costs.
The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Once you have enrolled and completed the FAFSA, a Financial Aid Advisor will work with you to determine the financial aid options for which you are eligible.
University grants or scholarships are based on established criteria as published in the University's catalog and are awarded after verification that the conditions of eligibility have been met.

This packet of helpful information includes checklists for meeting with your Education Service Officer and the process to follow to apply for Financial Aid.
International Students Financial Aid
AIU Online only offers student federal financial aid to U.S. citizens who qualify. International students are required to prearrange coverage for all their educational and living expenses prior to acceptance at AIU Online.
However, many different types of private loan programs are available for international students who qualify. We encourage you to check with the appropriate authorities within your home country for assistance programs that may exist for your benefit.
We also encourage you to research outside assistance that may be offered through other organizations, such as your company's human resources department. Many employers offer the benefit of tuition reimbursement to help students pay for their education.
Additional information about paying for your education can be found in the AIU Online Catalog. If you have additional questions about the university and about paying for your information, please
contact us.
