Success at AIU Online
AIU Online has approximately 50,000 graduates all around the world and the University is very proud of the outcomes which they have achieved. Not only have our graduates mastered the academic content of their programs, they have expressed a very high level of satisfaction and career accomplishment. Here are some selected highlights.
Our Students Are Our Proof of Success
Our students are a diverse group of approximately 26,000 working men and women from different walks of life and 40 countries. Ranging in age from 17 to over 50, they come to AIU Online with varying levels of postsecondary education.
Thanks to the efforts of our International, Military, and Education Partners programs,
we're able to make higher education possible for many of our students with international
exposure, armed services experiences, or corporate backgrounds. Since 2003, over
500 companies and organizations have referred over 13,000 employees to AIU Online.
And almost 3000 of our students currently serve in the military while earning their

Student Satisfaction
Before attending AIU Online, our graduates may have experienced a variety of obstacles
to getting ahead in life. One graduate told us that before she came to AIU Online
she had applied for a promotion at work and, even though her on-the-job experience
was good, she was passed over — "and ended up training the new person who
had more education."
One of the reasons our satisfaction rates are so high is that at AIU Online, we support our students all the way. And we seek their feedback so we'll know if we're doing everything we can to make their experience at AIU Online the best it can be. In recent surveys, we asked students to rate us in several areas and we're very proud of what they told us. Of those who responded, 88% of them said they were satisfied with their overall experience at AIU Online and 84% told us they would recommend their instructor to other students. (as of 4/10) That's high praise from the people we value most.
Student Experience
AIU Online surpasses our competitors in the services we provide. In our quest to demonstrate the quality of our education, we recently partnered with Noel-Levitz to see how we compare against some of our direct competitors who also took the survey, namely the University of Phoenix, DeVry, Capella, several Kaplan schools, and several others. 74% of AIU Online students replied that so far their college experience has been better than they expected, compared to only 67% of our peer group. Additionally, 90% of AIU Online students are satisfied with their experience so far, compared to 87% of our peer group.
A two question survey was sent to all students and alumni, asking them to rank on a scale of 0-10 how likely they are to recommend AIU Online to a friend or colleague. An astounding 63% of students said 9 or 10, and 53% of alumni ranked 9 or 10 as well. (as of 11/09)

The majority of AIU graduates from the Online campus have gone on to the kinds of
careers they were looking for. We say congratulations to all of them, and to all
of our current students who are on their way toward having their own success stories
to share in the future. AIU Online's track record for students graduating and starting
careers is impressive.
